Is chiropractic care safe for all age groups?
Yes, chiropractic care is safe for individuals of all age groups, from infants to seniors. Our chiropractors are trained to tailor their techniques to suit the unique needs of each patient, including children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Chiropractic care is non-invasive, drug-free, and focused on promoting the body's natural healing processes, making it a safe and effective option for individuals of all ages.
How many chiropractic sessions will I need to see results?
The number of chiropractic sessions needed varies from person to person and depends on several factors, including the nature and severity of your condition, your overall health, and your treatment goals. During your initial consultation, our chiropractors will assess your condition and provide you with a personalized treatment plan. While some individuals experience relief after just a short while, others may require ongoing care for more chronic issues. Our goal is to provide you with the most efficient and effective care to help you achieve long-lasting results. Your progress will be continually monitored and evaluated as needed throughout your treatment plan.
How does chiropractic care improve general health?
The body is a hard-wired system, where the brain controls every function by sending messages down the spinal cord and through the nerves. As the spinal cord  is encased by the spine, any misalignment of the vertebrae can put pressure on the nerves or the cord itself, inhibiting the brain's ability to send its essential messages. The body is regarded as a neuromusculoskeletal system in which subluxation in one part of the system disturbs the other parts. Chiropractors remove the subluxations in the body structure so that stresses on the body’s nervous system can be alleviated and the general health of the body can be restored.
What causes the "popping" noise during a chiropractic adjustment?
During an adjustment, the capsules around the joint will stretch. These capsules have fluid, so stretching them will allow more fluid to provide less pressure on the joint. When the pressure decreases the fluids on these joints will turn into gas. When this happens it will make a popping noise
What actually happens during a chiropractic adjustment?
In terms of joint motion, the chiropractic adjustment causes a quick but gentle thrust to be made to vertebrae or joints in the affected area which help to restore range of motion. Any vertebra or joint which has become restricted or misaligned will thus be freed up so that it can function properly again.
How does a chiropractor know where to adjust?
Chiropractors use X-rays and palpation to locate areas of misalignment or restriction. These misalignments are  known as subluxations. Once the chiropractor locates the subluxation(s), they know exactly where to focus their adjustments.
